Alcohol Addiction Treatment

Alcohol addiction recovery is very promising if you’re in otherwise good health. However, treatment can begin only when the alcoholic accepts the problem and is motivated to change. The first step in alcohol addiction treatment is an initial assessment by our highly-qualified professionals. Next comes a three-stage approach that can aid in success, and result in a happy, productive life.

Stage 1: Detoxification

Alcohol detox may be needed immediately after discontinuing alcohol use and can be a medical emergency. This is because detox can result in withdrawal seizures, hallucinations, confusion, and in some cases, death. Without proper medical treatment and supervision, alcohol detox and withdrawal can be extremely uncomfortable, even dangerous. In our NJ drug detox and rehab center, our trained medical staff can lessen the symptoms of withdrawal in a safe, comfortable environment and ensure a successful detox to get you on your way to recovery.

Stage 2: Rehabilitation

Alcohol rehab involves counseling and possibly medications to give the recovering alcoholic the skills needed for maintaining sobriety. This step in treatment can be done on an inpatient or outpatient basis.

Stage 3. Maintenance

The key to a life in recovery is support. This can be accomplished through continued attendance at AA/NA meetings, our Weekend Codependency Program, and ongoing participation in aftercare treatment.
