Manuela Noriega, DO MPH – PGY3
 
Manuela “Manny” is the current Family Medicine Administrative Chief Resident. She attended medical school in Maine at University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. Prior to starting medical school, she completed her Masters of Public Health at Tufts University School of Medicine. Prior to medical school, Manny was a Middle School Science teacher for a dropout prevention program in Miramar, FL. She has a passion for women’s health and will graduate to use her Family Medicine training to focus on disease prevention, family planning, preconception, prenatal, and perimenopausal care of patients. She plans to channel her passion for teaching through academic medicine.
 
In her free time, she enjoys working out at the local crossfit gym, cooking, hiking, and seeing her family in Massachusetts.
 

Aqsa Khan, MD- PGY3

Aqsa is the current Family Medicine Academic Chief. She completed her medical education from Khyber Medical University in Pakistan. After graduation, she plans to work as an Outpatient primary care physician with a special interest in preventive medicine and community health. She believes in continuous learning and would like to work in academic medicine teaching Medical students and residents.

She spends her free time traveling and enjoying quality time with her family in Houston, Texas

Diana Palanker, MD – PGY3

Diana Palanker went to medical school at American University of Antigua. She is grateful to have chosen family medicine as a specialty. Family medicine offers great heterogeneity and allows one to take focus on the needs of their community. To Diana, family medicine means providing patient-centered care, quality resources and skills, as well as building a relationship with your patients whether adults or children.

Jaime Diaz, MD – PGY3

Jaime is the current Family Medicine Wellness Chief Resident. He went to medical school in Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara. He grew up in Puerto Rico watching his father serve the community of San Juan as a primary care physician and was passionate about following in his footsteps. He has a passion for sports medicine and will graduate to use his skills in Family Medicine training to focus on disease prevention, child and adolescent health, and sports medicine. He plans to channel his passion for teaching through academic medicine. 

In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball with co-residents and our PD, doing outdoor activities with his wife and son, planning wonderful activities for co-residents as wellness chief, and spending time with his extended family in Southern New Jersey.

 

Omead Mirgoli, MD – PGY2

Omead Mirgoli attended Ross University School of Medicine. Having been a nontraditional applicant, he has a deep appreciation of hard work & perseverance. His interests are in complex medical diagnostics management & prevention of disease on a population health level. Omead is a believer that “The best way to learn something is to teach it.” He is passionate about medical academics as well as teaching medical students from all over the world. He plans on practicing outpatient medicine as well as pursuing a faculty position in a medical school to continue his academic medical career.

Auda Auda, MD – PGY2

After graduating high school, Dr. Auda moved to Germany, where he graduated medical school at Eberhard Karls University of Tübningen, followed by a two year residency in surgery at Diakonie Klinikum in Stuttgart Germany. However, his passion for primary care was founded in New Jersey when he began his career in the year of 2020. Although it was an uncertain time due to the pandemic, he proudly says this period formed and solidified his love for primary care, being able to be the first-line in the treatment of many patients and practice preventative medicine. 

Dr. Auda currently resides in Secaucus, New Jersey and says he’s living the American Dream. He plans to be the best Family Medicine physician he can while also bringing his love for teaching into the medical field. In his spare time, Dr. Auda enjoys a variety of activities, including mountain biking, playing sports, hiking, skiing, cooking, fishing, reading, taking care of his dog, and improving his Spanish skills.

Mohammed Jurri, MD – PGY2

Mohammed graduated from American University of Antigua College of Medicine and decided to pursue Family Medicine because it is a diverse field of medicine which provides comprehensive medical care across all ages. His desire to become an outpatient primary care physician has strengthened over this past year. He is inspired by the group of doctors that he works and their empathy and patience when explaining to patients their diagnostic findings, therapies, and care plans. His peers, faculty, and program director constantly invigorate his empathy towards patients even in the toughest of days and serving through a national pandemic. He strives to be that physician who will tenderly provide solace and hope to families.

Faryall Bokhari, MD – PGY2

Dr. Bokhari was born and raised in New Jersey and grew up in a tight knit family. This instilled in her a strong sense of family and community which helped guide her as she graduated with honors from Frontier Medical College in Pakistan. She is interested in primary care medicine and wants to bridge the gap for health care access in her community. Dr. Bokhari loves to travel and explore new cities and immerse herself in different cultures. She has a special heart for animals and she has an adopted cat named Fes.

Mayuri Kinkhabwala, MD – PGY1

Mayuri went to medical school at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada. She loves Family Medicine because there is much flexibility to the variety of medicine you can practice and the opportunity of continuity of care. In addition, she enjoys doing procedures and learning more about sports medicine.

Momina Rahman, MD – PGY1

Momina Rahman hails from Melbourne, Australia, and is currently a PGY-1 resident in the Family Medicine Program. She fell in love with medicine in High School after working with a Family Physician as part of a Work Experience program. She went on to pursue her Medical training at Shadan Institute of Medical Sciences in India, and developed an interest in women’s health, obstetrics and pediatrics. She also developed a passion for the under-served community with limited access to health care, and actively participated in numerous community outreach programs.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys hiking, baking, kickboxing and reading. One of her proudest achievements is perfecting her cookie recipe which she refuses to share with anybody, but she is always ready to bake you a batch.

Alex Ang, MD – PGY1

Dr. Ang grew up in Greenhills East, Philippines. She went to college and medical school at University of Santo Tomas with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Throughout her years of volunteering in the medical community across the US, her love of medicine and teaching enabled her to help medical students and colleagues as an academic tutor and advisor. Dr. Ang hopes to continue this in the future as she looks forward to starting a career in academic medicine. In her free time, she loves to travel and explore the amazing food each place has to offer.

Ashraf Mahmood, MD – PGY1

Ashraf Mahmood is a medical graduate from Saint James School of Medicine in the Caribbean on the island of Anguilla. Ashraf completed his basic science in University of Anguilla and returned to the US to do his clinical rotations. His interest is in the primary care aspect of Family medicine and hopes to work as an outpatient primary care physician upon completing residency.
